Gunmen attack Japanese diplomatic vehicle in Karachi

Unidentified gunmen fired at a car of Japanese consulate in Karachi on Thursday, injuring two Pakistani employees of the diplomatic mission, the city police chief said. Police chief Fayaz Lghari said that no foreigner was in the car when it came under attack. An administration officer at the consulate and a guard were injured in the firing, police said. The attackers fled after the firing. The police chief said that the attackers may have been trying to snatch the car. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
